Topic: It is a natural process of animal species to become extinct (e.g. dinosaurs, dodos, etc.). There is no reason why people should stop this from happening. Do you agree or disagree?
Position: Disagree -> humans are to blame + humans can do a lot to prevent extinction
Paragraph 1: Human activities contribute to extinction
– Environment also plays a part in the extinction of certain species (e.g.: dinosaurs)
– Now: mostly human activities
- industrial development -> loss of natural habitat
- poaching for horns, skins, etc.
Paragraph 2: Humans can significantly contribute to extinction prevention- Stricter lawsExample:
- In industry: factories conduct their businesses in an environmental friendly way
- In illegal hunting: monitor law-breaking activities + implement punishment
– Use of technological advances to preserve biodiversity
=> Preventing extinction is essential to maintaining balance of the ecosystem in which all species rely on each other to survive
