1. What is your dream job?

Từ vựng gợi ý:

dream of doing sth: ước mơ làm gì đó

marketer (n): người làm trong lĩnh vực marketing

career (n): nghề nghiệp, sự nghiệp

earn a good income: kiếm được thu nhập tốt

major (n): chuyên ngành

I’ve always dreamt of being a marketer, because, you know, I think this career will help me earn a good income. That’s why I chose marketing as my major at university.

2.  Is it a popular job in your country?

It really depends. The way I see things, high-paid jobs are often preferred by those who are short of money, because they need salaries to cover their daily living expenses. For those who are more financially comfortable, I think a sense of fulfilment at work will be their priority. 

3. Why do people care too much about money?

I suppose the simple reason is that money allows people to meet their basic needs in life. I mean without money, one cannot afford food or shelter, let alone other amenities. Money also brings people happiness because they will not have to be constantly worried about making ends meet every day. 

II. Luyện nói Part 2

Part 2: Describe a job that you consider highly important.

You should say:

  • what the job is
  • what the job involves
  • why it is important

and explain if people who do this job are appreciated enough by society

You know, people often say education is the backbone of any society and without it, a country can’t thrive. I completely agree with that. That is also the reason why I think of teaching as one of the most crucial professions in society.

To start off, I would say that teachers always play an indispensable part in everyone’s learning process, as they are the ones who provide students with timely guidance and make sure that they completely understand lessons. Apart from delivering knowledge, teachers also motivate and inspire students to pursue their dreams and become successful in the future. 

From the beginning of civilization till the present day, teachers have always been highly appreciated by people of all classes. I believe every country now has a special day for people to show their respect and gratitude towards this profession. For instance, in Vietnam, we have the 20th of November. That being said, in some countries, the salaries teachers receive are not worth their effort. Like in Vietnam, teachers are paid much lower than other occupations like physicians or engineers.
