Định nghĩa Complaint

Theo từ điển Oxford, dưới đây là một số định nghĩa của từ complaint  

Complaint (countable noun): Lời phàn nàn (a reason for not being satisfied; a statement that somebody makes saying that they are not satisfied)

• Example 1: She said the police had immediately investigated the complaint. (điều tra về lời phàn nàn) 
• Example 2: We’ve had complaints from residents that you’ve been playing your radio too loud. (nhận được những lời phàn từ người dân) 

Complaint (uncountable noun): Hành động phàn nàn (the act of complaining)

• Example 1: The biggest complaint about the new proposal is that it could increase costs. (Phàn nàn lớn nhất về cái đề xuất mới…) 
• Example 2: I’m planning to write a formal letter of complaint. (Lá thư phàn nàn) 

Complaint (countable noun): Vấn đề về sức khoẻ, bệnh nhẹ (an illness, especially one that is not serious, and often one that affects a particular part of the body)

• Example 1: He has a minor skin complaint. (vấn đề về da)
• Example 2: Not being able to sleep at night is a very common complaint. (vấn đề sức khoẻ thường gặp)

complaint about somebody/something

• Example:  I’d like to make a complaint about the noise. (lời phàn nàn về vấn đề tiếng ồn) 

complaint against somebody/something

• Example: I believe you have a complaint against one of our nurses. (lời phàn nàn, chỉ trích về các y tá) 

complaint from somebody about something

• Example: We received a number of complaints from customers about the lack of parking facilities. (lời phàn nàn đến từ các khách hàng)

• Example: They said their complaints to the police were often not acted on. (những phàn nàn với cảnh sát)
